I think we can all agree that 2020 has been an unusual year. Certainly here in the Algarve it has been quieter than we can remember since we moved here 20 years ago. This summer we really missed seeing as many of you as usual, but we have not been idle. We took the opportunity to do a few of those little jobs that needed doing and we also completely overhauled our procedures and cleaning regimes to make sure we are Covid secure.

While Portugal has obviously had cases of Covid-19, these have been mainly located in Lisbon and Porto to the north of us. Here in the Algarve the government has taken every precaution and as a result we are one of the safest regions in Europe.

Holiday Insurance
The Portuguese government has come up with a groundbreaking scheme for all visitors to ensure they can obtain the necessary insurance. This includes all the usual cover as well as all Covid surgical, pharmaceutical, treatment and repatriation costs. Cover starts from €37.20. Social Distancing
Unlike hotels, all of our communal areas are located outside and each room and apartment has their own socially distanced terrace for breakfasts. Our daily cleaning service has been updated to include extra cleaning and disinfection of all communal and private areas and there is sanitising spray and hand gel at key points around the property.

Work from the Quinta?
We have high speed, reliable Wifi throughout and recently we had a couple who took a working break with us, We provided them with coffee and soft drinks throughout day and they were able to shut their laptops at 5pm and be in the pool by 5:01pm so if you are thinking of taking a working break, just let us know and we can set up workspaces in your apartment or on the roof terrace,
